Karaalioğlu Park

A clifftop park above the Mediterranean on the edge of Kaleiçi

About Karaalioğlu Park

Karaalioğlu Park runs along the clifftop beside Kaleiçi and is the city's favourite place for an evening stroll. Palm trees, rose beds and lawns line broad paths, and at the western end the park opens onto sweeping views of the Gulf of Antalya, with the Beydağları mountains rising on the far side of the bay.

Come at sunset, when families, runners and couples fill the benches and the light falls on the cliffs. There are cafes and tea gardens, a small cliff-side viewpoint and steps leading down towards the sea. The Hıdırlık Tower, a Roman-era tower, stands at one end of the park.

Practical notes

  • The park is free and open all day.
  • It is a short walk from Kaleiçi and the tram line.
  • In the evenings, the Antalya Foodfest and other open-air events have used this area; see the events page.
  • It is a good place to plan the end of a day exploring the old town.
